Runnin the miles

          The last week has been very nice! Even tho I've had to run in a 'bit' of snow, the miles were there, which translates to a nice payday comin!  Chicago was supposed to have a lot of snow, but by the time I got up there yesterday morning, the city work crews had already cleared the streets. Kudos to the City of Chicago! I had no problem getting to my delivery... I rolled in a couple hours early, expecting to have delays like I did last week, but even the parking lots were cleared.  So, I got to sit in the parking lot, waiting on them to open.   My 1st layover option was Chicago, which I agreed to, then started outside of Chicago to go to a truckstop and nap.  Before I got there, I got offered another run down to Decatur, IL delivering in the evening. I still was ok on sleep, so I took it, and ran it down, delivering last night with no probs.  I had been to this place before, and it still strikes me funny when some places don't want you to carry 2 small boxes onto their dock... they want you to drive in, so some guy on a forklift can bring over a skid to set it on.... oh well... the dock worker himself told me the rules made no sense.. and as far was he was concerned, next time just walk it up! We'll see LOL.  Last time I got hollared at for tryin! 

Anyway, hangin out near Peoria, IL today... only a couple of us here, so hopefully get out soon.  I'm trying to delay filling up the van with fuel in IL.. the fuel around here is blended, and it doesn't like Bio-diesel, but gonna have to get some if I don't get out soon... it's cold, and I'm having to idle.
