Re-learning

Nick and I have been talking for the last year about how I used to be in orchestra. I always loved playing the cello. Low and behold, he bought me one for Christmas. Now comes the process of relearning how to play it after 14 years. This morning I was able to put the bridge on it and tune it. I started messing around with it, but I am definitely not good at it at all. But at least I could play Mary had a little lamb still. I remember the notes to some songs, but I still haven't gotten the fingering quite right. I know that with practice I will be able to do it, but it is just going to take some time, as with anything.
Unfortunately due to temperature changes I am going to have to leave it at home, otherwise it would always be going out of tune and would sound worse than it does when I play it now. I am looking forward to the challenge of relearning how to play it.
