Preparing
The Expedite Expo is only 15 days away! Today we were at home spending some time preparing our van for the show. Nick takes a lot of pride in our van looking good, as do I. People say quite often how nice it looks, and it really makes him feel good. Personally, I think it looks great for beeing 5 years old, and having almost 450k on it.
I spent my afternoon scrubbing the doors, floors and dash, and detailing the rest of the cab area. Nick spent the day painting. He stripped, sanded and painter the "bumper bar" that we have. I helped him sand the rims, and he repainted them. Tomorrow we get the rest of our stripe finished up on the bottom of the van.
People say that we spend a lot of time working on our van, but in order to have a nice looking vehicle, and a good running vehicle, you must spend time doing that. It is nice to see other people who take pride in their vehicles, and keep them clean. Not only for the Expo, but all of the time.
If you have never attended the Expo, you are missing one heck of a good time. You get to meet people from the big name carriers, from different truck dealers, and many accessory dealers. Its a place where we can all come together as a large, somewhat disfunctional, family and enjoy ourselves for one weekend a year..
