Our adventures in Florida
Our adventures in Florida began Thursday, after we dropped our load in Orlando. We headed up to Palatka to drop the van off at the dealer, and then up to Jacksonville to our friends house.
Friday we headed off to the tattoo studio. The only person that we trust to do anything on us is here in Jacksonville, so anytime we get down here, we take the time to go visit him. Nick has been working on his cover up piece for a little over two years at this point. I just keep getting new ones.

Saturday morning they called and told us that our van was done, and we could pick it up on Monday. It ended up being very close to what I had expected the bill to be. Now we have new brakes, pulleys, and the ac is fixed the right way. The dealership down here is great, as I said before. We accidently left $15-$20 on the dash, on the drivers side, and it was still there when we got the van back.
Sunday, Nick got up at 5 am to go help move our friend from her house to her apartment. Thankfully her brother was there to help, and they managed to get it done before 11 am. Later in the afternoon, we went to a friends house, and had a cookout, and visited with their month old baby. I actually got to spend time with my friend, that I hadnt seen in a year, and had my first real "girltime" in about that long as well.
Monday morning we picked up the van, and went back into service. We were staying at the TA truckstop on the south side of Jacksonville, and had been there until this morning. Last night, we met a group of drivers that were sitting behind the van, in the truck parking lot. They were all movers. We took our chairs over, and joined in on conversation with them. They were a great group of guys to talk to. They were very intrested in our business and how it worked. I went in and got in bed around 8:30, sincce I had a horrible headache from the smoke, from the wildfires. Nick finally came to bed around 12. They were out there talking, and grilling, and having a great time. Its nice to be able to do that while you are sitting and waiting. It lightens the mood, and passes time.
Now we are on our way to Charleston, SC. Hoping to get something out of there. This weekend break, was exactly what we had needed. Now its time to work hard until the expo!
