Fuel for Thought

More short loads

         Just ran a couple short loads last night, now home to get my daughter to the airport.  The two short runs together added up to be one good run, because the second one was picking up a few hours later at the same plant I delivered to, going back to the first plant! Apparently this is a common thing for them, as one produces a series of stamped steel parts, sends them to the second plant, who coats them with a protective substance, then ships them back.  This goes on every day.  Hmm.. seems to me a fella could hang out near plants like that, and be closest to grab them.. as long as short runs are ok... which, to me, they're fine. If you can get them back to back like that, they add up ok. Problem is, you have your whole day committed, and may be missing other income.  That's part of the guessing game with this business.

           Anyway, got my daughter on the airplane to her missions trip, now need to get some rest.  I've accepted a run for later tonight, so gotta get some sleep.
