How did you adjust to spending so much time with someone else?

It actually wasn't as hard for me, since I have never been out on the road before. Nick had a harder time since everything in the van was set up for him as a solo driver. I came in, brough in girly stuff, and re-arranged everything, just like I would have at home.

Do you enjoy doing to workshops that you do?

Yes, we do. I enjoy being able to help educate people, even if it is only one thing that they didnt know or twenty things. I want other people to be successful and if I can help them do that, I will.

I know you said that you had a dog at home, but why is it not in the van with you?

Originally the dog was in the van with Nick, when he was a puppy. He took him home to get shots and he bonded with the family cat and Nicks parents. Now his parents seem happy with the dog, so we wouldn't want to take it away from him. As far as us getting another dog to put in the van, that won't happen due to the fact that there is not enough space, and there are some loads that you are not allowed to have a pet with you.

What do you most look forward to about the Expedite Expo?

To be honest, spending time with friends, learning about new products, and seeing how others have set up their vans and trucks. It is a learning experience from all angles and aspects.

Would you recommend that someone come to the Expo or one of the EOU workshops?

I would say the expo first. There is 20 times more stuff, people and things at the expo that the workshops. The workshops are a smaller more intimate crowd that the expo that has hundreds of different people and so much to see and do.

Do you participate in any of the workshops at the expo?

Besides leading the "Vans 101" workshop we participate, and sit in on a few others. I know that we will be attending the maintence workshop, as well as the drivers round table.

Any advise that you can give a first time attendies to the expo?

Know what you want to ask the recriuters

Remember it is not always sunshine and rainbows, there are storms in this industry

Know what you are looking for from a carrier, and find which one fits YOU best, not which one fits everyone else.

Keep an open mind, just because someone else doesn't like a specific carrier doesnt mean that you will dislike them also

Talk to other drivers, ask questions, look at van and truck set ups, do your research, and know what you are getting into.

What is the worst thing that has happened to you out on the road?

Oh, wow, thats a tough one. There have been a few undesirable things that have happened. Nick has had to have his galbladder, and appendix removed by emergency surgery. I've had my galbladder removed from emergency surgery. I fell in the shower in Knoxville TN, and broke my tailbone. The following day our transmission went out and I had to take a 75 mile horribly bouncy tow truck ride. I had a creeper in the bathroom at a rest area in Ohio recently. Thats pretty much all of the major stuff. There have been a few smaller incidents, but these are the ones that stick out to me now.

I think I answered all of the questions that I have in my email, so if you have anything else you would like to ask feel free.
