Fuel for Thought
Its almost here!
I promise, I havent forgotten about you all. When we left on Monday with our load, we left our air card at home.
18 more days until we set sail on our first official vacation, honeymoon, and well deserved trip. 18 days until our phones will be turned off and not have to worry about calls from dispatch, or anyone else for that matter. 18 days until paradise!
I am done planning things for us to do, finally. I am almost done packing all of our clothes, which hasn't been all that easy. I want to take all of my shoes. I did get really excited when I realized that all of our clothes, minus "formalwear" and snorkeling gear fit into a carry on bag. I joke with Nick that it has to do with my organizational skills. We will be leaving Monday January 2, for Jacksonville Florida. We are going to drive down there, that way when we are done we can just go back into service. Once we get down there we also have a few things to do. Visiting friends, and one of my favorites, pedicures. Nick will admit that he gets them, so men don't be afraid to do it!
Saturday, the 7th, we will be heading to the port to board the Carnival Fascination. Its not a huge brand new ship, but it was remodeled in 2010, and will definately serve the purpose of relaxation. We will be going to Nassau, Bahamas first. There we are going to do some shopping, and go on a boat out to part of the reef and go snorkeling. I am kind of nervous, as I have never snorkeled in open water before, but have had lots of practice in the pool.
Our second port will be Half Moon Cay, a little private island owned by a cruiseline. There really isn't anything there at all but sand and nature, which I am really looking forward to. There we are once again going to take a boat out to go snorkeling. We are also going to a swim and snorkel with sting rays. I am really excited from looking at pictures on Google. 
I can't wait to get back and be able to share pictures and stories with you all!! I will still be writing up until the Friday before we leave.
