Is time off really time off??
Time off has never been time off for us. We always have something that we are doing. In the last 3 years, we have not taken off any time off for ourselves to take a vacation, or even a honeymoon. Heck, we were married when we were on a load. Unfortunately after time it starts to wear on you, and burn you out. Sometimes I just want to curl up in a plush hotel room and just lay in bed all day, with nothing to do.
A few times a year we go to Florida. We take what we call a "mini vacation" but that means that the van is in the shop having repairs, or preventive items done. We may go to the beach, but the cost of the repair bill and getting back to work is in our minds. When we were down there the first week of June, it was for 4 days. Thursday night we dropped the van off at the dealership, most of the day Friday was spent with Nick and I getting tattoos, Saturday was spent planning the move of our friend and getting the rental truck. Sunday was moving day. Monday morning we picked up the van and we were off. Not a whole lot of time for ourselves, especially since we were staying at our friends apartment. Two weeks ago we moved Nick's brother, and yesterday grandmother.
We had taken the last week off since we had to be off this weekend for the move. We spent two days at Nick's brothers house reinforcing the garage, and building a loft in it for storage. We have also worked on cosmetic items on the van. We had the rest of the stripe decal added to the bottom, painted the wheel wells from white to black, 
sanded and painted the wheels,
and sanded and painted the metal underneath of the plastic bumpers. 
We would like to take a real honeymoon sometime, whether it be a 4 day weekend somewhere, a cruise, or a trip to a tropical island. But in the meantime we are going to continue working, and saving our money so we can buy our own house, then we will have another project to work on. I can't wait for us to get back to work so we can get a break and a chance to relax!!
