Fuel for Thought
I'm back
A few weeks ago Nick and I made the decision that I was going to stay home for a while to take care of some things, as well as some doctors appointments I came to stay at my parents house in Lansing where my doctor is located at. As most people have either heard or read here, I had uterine cancer back in 2010. I went to the doctor two weeks ago and learned that there was a chance that I now had cervical cancer. I had some spots that were called "CIN3, or High grade dysplasia". I underwent a procedure to have the spots removed, and tested to see if they had turned cancerous yet.
After a week of wondering, not feeling well, and sleepless nights I learned that I was cancer free. Had I waited longer to have the spots removed, or had they gone undetected, the dysplasia would have turned cancerous. I was thankful for the results, and that fact that it was caught early enough for it to be treated.
Nick is currently home with me, and has been for the last week, and we both have been fighting off a mid summer cold. Unfortunately he will be heading off again tomorrow to go back on the road, while I stay at home to finish up some things. I will be writing more now that I am feeling better.
