Fumoto Valve Gets Better

The Fumoto Engine Oil Drain Valve replaces the drain plug in the oil pan. During an oil change, it only takes a swing of the valve lever to drain the oil. Fumoto makes valves for vehicles large and small. After about 400,000 miles my fumoto valve developed a slow seep. While investigating their lifetime warranty I ran across a different model of valve at an online retailer. The F316L has a swiveling elbow! The elbow will swivel 360 degrees, if it has the clearance, and it locks into any position when the collar is tightened, or it can be removed.  I’ll save my seven inch plastic tube for emergencies, but it’s in retirement. With this valve, under most conditions, I should be able to drain directly into my oil container without having to direct the flow with a tube. In 5000 miles at my next oil change, this valve has a job.
