First things first, repairs

Let me start by saying this was the easiest most hassle free thing ever.

In December we were in California up in the mountains. The winds were blowing quite hard that day, and needless to say, when I went to open the door on the passengers side, I had to make the decision of me or the door, and I chose me. The door flew open, over extending the hinges. I immediately contacted John from C.I.S., who we have our insurance with. We talked about a few options and decided  we would take care of during Christmas break.

Unfortunately the door got worse and started to drop, and became almost completely inoperable from the inside. Due to being in 4 different places for Christmas, it was a little bit harder to schedule the adjuster to come out and take a look at it. We were up at my dads house in a the middle of no where and the adjuster came there. He took some pictures, gave us the estimate, and set it up to be dropped off while we were down here in Florida on vacation, to minimize our down time.

The Friday before we left for our cruise  we dropped it off at the bodyshop in Jacksonville, Tom Neihl Truck Center, that Progressive uses. We told them that we were going to be out of town and they said it was no problem. The hardest part was getting a cab back to our friends apartment that we were staying with. When we got back into port after vacation, we called and the van was done. A cab ride to pick it up, the $100 deductable, and we were all set.

We made the decision to switch to C.I.S. insurance after the Expedite Expo last year. We do pay about $10 more per month than we did with the policy that Load 1 had, but due the coverage that was offered, the extras we get, and the amazing service, I am more than willing to pay that extra amount knowing who is on the other line when I need to make that important phone call.

All of the adjusters, schedulers, and everyone who we talked to on the phone were great, it was a simple, easy and painless process.
