Fuel for Thought
Donner and The Golden Gate
We were quite nervous as we approached Donner Pass. We had talked to some of our fellow driver friends and they were telling us their horror stories. When we checked the weather for Saturday morning and it was supposed to be about 70 degrees and not windy at all so we were looking forward to it.
The climb didn't seem bad at all, and we reached the summit. We stopped to take pictures in a very beautiful area. As we were sitting there we talked about the history of the pass. We were where so many people had lost their lives in search of the American Dream on the west coast.

After spending a few minutes at the top we started the decent, and our journey to San Fransisco. After learning that my camera was no longer focusing Nick decided that it would be a good idea to stop and buy me a new camera so I could have it to go over the Golden Gate Bridge.Growing up in the 90's I saw the Golden Gate all of the time while watching Full House. I couldn't wait until I was an adult and could go across it.
As we approached San Fran, my heart began to sink when I saw how foggy it was. The next thing that I knew we were on the bridge and couldn't see anything at all, as you can tell from the picture.

We found a little harbor in a town called Half Moon Bay to stay in over night... And Sunday our journey continued.
