Cold Days!

It see ms that the cold weather is finally coming to Ohio!  I had a nice couple days down South, then ran back up thru Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and into Ohio.  Down South I was running with my window down, but the further North I came, the more the window came up LOL. As I got into Ohio, I had to start easing the heat on low.  Man the leaves are in full color now, and it's time for some good fall pics. I will be taking more and sharing in the coming few days.

I'm actually out of service for a couple days now.  At my last fuel stop coming North, I noticed a few drops of antifreeze coming off the bottom of the engine. I couldn't see where it was coming from, but it didn't appear major, so I drove on home.  I was scheduled for some maintenance at my mechanic today, so I had him check it out. We caught it just in time... the water pump was just starting to go.  I am SO glad God let it happen when I was going to be home anyway.  Yeah, I know, some would be all upset... "another repair"... but you know what, I look at it this way.. it could have went out hundreds of miles from home, requiring a tow, and service from a dealership, at who knows what kind of price.  This way, my own mechanic who has worked on my cars since I was 17 can do it, and at much better price!  Being a diesel van, it is a bit more involved than changing it on my car, or I would do it myself.  Right now, he plans to have all the maintenance and water pump changed by Friday.  So, I plan to take advantage of the time to get stuff 'winterized' around the house.
