Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

Well, our lives have certainly gone thru some changes in the last couple of weeks!  We knew it was coming, but no matter how prepared you think you are, you're not!  I've only ran 3 runs in over a week, and haven't been online as much as normal, due to so much going on. Thanks for those who were concerned, and sent me a note, but we're fine! It's nice to know people actually watch this blog and miss it when it's not updated!

Last Saturday, my daughter graduated from Ohio Christian University with Degrees in Ministry, and Missions.  She is now preparing for a 10 week Volunteers in Action assignment in Arizona, working with a Bible school for American Indian Children. This week, she is undergoing orientation and training with World Gospel Missions in Indiana, and was just approved for her Minister's License with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union. So... looks like I'm a preacher's daddy!  Wierd feeling, but I'm proud of her.  Meanwhile, we're preparing for my Son's wedding, so it has suddenly hit us, that for the first time in about 23 years, we're gonna be alone! LOL.  My wife is not sure she's ready for that.. and I'm trying to convince her team driving would be a good thing.. but ya know.. she's just not sure.

So, in between all this stuff, Monday and Tuesday I was out of service to renew my Hazmat (forgot to apply for the background check when it was due my Birthday).. then had to get some van maintenance done (somehow warped a brake rotor..) Wednesday I ran a short local Air Expedite load, then picked up a longer load Thursday for Friday morn, delivering to Belton, SC. I needed to be back up here by Saturday to attend a dedication service for 2 of my great-nephews, so I was hoping and praying for a good run quickly back up. Well, it rarely happens this way, but within minutes of leaving the delivery, I got beeped for a run picking up a mile and a half away, and didn't deliver til Saturday morn in Northern KY, less than 200 miles from home. Perfect! This gave me time to pick it up, then sleep, then deliver close enough to run home.  Got home in plenty of time to rest, then spent Sunday with family at church and a family event honoring the children!  Yesterday, took my daughter to WGM for her orientation, now waiting on dispatch.

What a week!
