Art of my life
This past weekend was the Hell City Tattoo Convention in Columbus, Ohio. Some of the best artists in the industry were in attendance. Before I start a huge debate on tattoo's I would like to say that this is the way that I choose to express myself artistically. A good tattoo is a piece of art that is with you forever.
When I first came out on the road, I was not overly fond of it. I had a hard time getting used to the ways of life not having all of the luxuries of home. As time went on I learned to love it. I honestly can not say that I could not go back to a normal job. This is my life. Being a gypsy, drifting from one area to the next. This is what I wanted to portray in my tattoo. The journey that I have taken, and the journey that is to come. It is not finished, just the base to my piece has begun. I started my session at 12:15 Saturday afternoon and finished about 6:30. I did take a break for lunch and few bathroom breaks as well. It was an interesting experience. I had never been tattooed at a convention before. Having hundreds of people walking by and stopping to see what you were having done, as well as all of the magazine photographers made it a bit nerve wracking.

My artist is Ralph Royals, of Jacksonville, FL. Typically we only get work done while we are in Florida, but since he was up in Ohio, it saved us a long trip. We are also very particular about who we let work on us, as it is a piece that will be with us forever. I can't wait to get back to Florida and have it continued.
