Fuel for Thought
And the show is over
I don't even know where to begin. There was so much going on at times I thought that my head was going to spin! We left Taylor Wednesday night around midnight and arrived at 4:30 am Thursday. We parked at the hotel, and slept until 7:30. We found the Load1 crew getting their trucks washed, and then it was time to move in.

Once the carpet was down and the trucks were in it was time to head into town to get my nails done and pedicure. That ended in failure, so it was back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and the meet and greet. I honestly was so excited because I got to get dressed up!
Friday morning Nick was up at 6 a.m. to go outside and finish detailing the van by painting the front wheels, cleaning the bugs off from the trip down, and picking up the inside. I have to say it turned out great, you could see the reflection of the truck next to us our 5 year old paint.

I was up early to "sell" shirts for the Jack Berry fundraiser. I have to say it went well by 11 am I was down to 7 shirts in small and medium. I got so busy doing that I didn't even get one for Nick and I.
I had a great time meeting people who recognized me from on here, not to mention I had my name on my shirt :) Friday evening was Casino night, sponsored by the wonderful team at CIS. We always enjoy ourself. There were so many people in there, I never made it into a table, but had a great time talking to all of the people that I ran into, and listening to the music from the band.
Saturday morning we were up bright and early once again for Vans 101. The workshop started at 8 am and I have to say personally I think it was a success. I had 50 presentations printed and didn't have enough for everyone. I thank everyone who came and asked questions and spent time with us throughout the day. After spending the day in and out of the Load1 booth with other drivers, the show came to a close. Nick helped pack up the displays, and I was off to lay down for a while. The high temps all week have had me not feeling well at all.
The bbq was a success, but I was only out there for about 5 minutes before I had to return to the room. I apologize to all of those who were disapointed that my mac and cheese wasn't there. I was able to come back down around 7, after it had cooled off.

We headed inside for a snack in the restaurant, and coversation with friends. About 11 pm we headed outside for some air, and ran into Edgar Hanson, again, and spent until 1:30 am talking to him and enjoying his company. He is a really great guy and we had a lot of fun with him.
I would like to thank everyone who made the expo, the bbq, and all of the great company possible. I hope to see you all out there soon!
