Monday we were in WI taking care of some personal business. On our way back to Michigan we saw the sign for the Jelly Belly store and tours in Pleasant Prairie, and decided to stop.

The tour is not a true factory tour, but is free and teaches you about the history, and the makings of Jelly Belly. The tour takes you on a "train" through the warehouse. It has little stations that you stop at and watch short video clips about how the jelly bean was made, why it is associated with Easter, and the process that Jelly Belly uses to make theirs.

It also covers some of the art that has been made with the beans.

When the 20 minute tour is over it drops you into their retail store. You can get samples of different flavors of beans so you can decide which ones you would like to buy. Take Nick's personal recommendation and stay away from the mold cheese. That was quite funny, I wish that I had a picture!

When we were done there we loaded up and headed back home. It wasn't anything overly spectacular, but if you are a looking for something to kill an hour or so, or want to take some confections back home its a great place to stop.
