Fuel for Thought
A little break
Every year for the last three years we have taken a camping trip to Ginnie Springs, which is located in High Springs, Florida. We usually go in April, for Easter weekend, but due to members of our "crew" having a baby Easter weekend, we were unable to go at that time this year. With summer being so busy, with truck shows, work for them, and the weather being so hot, we delayed it until there was a time when everyone was available. That time just so happedned to be this weekend.
We are on a load that will deliver about 120 miles from the campground. Once we drop tomorrow morning, we will be heading to Walmart to get the necessary food, and head on out to the site. Where we camp at, there is a series of 7 springs that are along the great Santa Fe River.
The river is gross looking, its brown, but the springs are crystal clear. They are a little brisk at 72*, but you get used to them quite easily. Some of us float in tubes, we have an inflatable boat, just for the fact that I don't like the river grass touching me, it freaks me out. I will get out and swim in the springs where I can see what is around me. At least that way I can see the alligators, LOL. The float down the river takes a good 4 hours, of talking, relaxing, enjoying ourselves, and just having a great look at nature.

Last year we were taking an evening swim in one of the springs that was lit, and there was a manitee in there with us. We also see lots of turtles, fish, snakes, and there are videos of alligators, but we haven't really seen one, that we know of.
So, I will be away until at least Monday, from the land of internet signals! Hope everyone has a safe weekend.
