A journey through the Redwoods

We detoured on our way to California through the gorgeous forests and mountains of northern California. We took I south through Oregon, to US199. We stopped in Crescent City California. Tuesday morning we took off and headed south on 101 through Del Norte Redwoods State Park. We continued south until we got to Prarie Creek Redwoods State Park. We jumped off onto the scenic bypass through the middle of the park. We continued south and jumped off onto the "Avenue of the Giants"

To be honest, I don't even know how to describe the trip through the forests. It is quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and awe inspiring. Knowing that you are surrounded by trees that are hundreds and thousands of years old. Knowing that naturally that is one of the only places that they grow.
