Danial Hannan pointed out something yesterday.
The Constitution of the EU is over 500 pages long and addresses everything but basic human rights and it is failing by all accounts with the swing to the right in the EU.
In contrast, the Canadian Constitution is also basically the same thing with it being something like over 200 pages long.
The Constitution of England is faltering under the obscene problems with everything from health care rights to rights of peers.
But the amazing thing is the US Constitution is still a viable form of self-governing for the individual, it is however a sheer work of genius at 11 pages.
The Canadian Constitution is so long because it deals with 3 different unique type of people....the French and Native Indians....
And the government is set-up in British style of course.
After that it is a clone almost of the US's....Provincial rights over federal rights....
Canada like the US can not have a national health care program....they can fund one thru the provinces but they themselves cannot run one. Unlike the British DO have a national healthcare program and is a real mess.....
