LOL, and how much snow is on the ground in DC as this new agency is being introduced my barrys minions!?!? :p

What a joke... the BS Global Warming / Climate Change BS is falling apart more and more each day and barry still insist on shoving it down the throats of the people...wait! He is doing the same thing with his obamacare also.....the majority of the people don't want it or need it, but he knows better and he knows what good for the people.....

Well at least it will put people to work....in the Fed gov....

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100208/...limate_service

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration is forming a new agency to study and report on the changing climate.

Also known as global warming, climate change has drawn widespread concern in recent years as temperatures around the world rise, threatening to harm crops, spread disease, increase sea levels, change storm and drought patterns and cause polar melting.

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and Jane Lubchenco, head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, planned to announce Monday that NOAA will set up the new Climate Service to operate in tandem with NOAA's National Weather Service and National Ocean Service.

NOAA recently reported that the decade of 2000-2009 was the warmest on record worldwide; the previous warmest decade was the 1990s. Most atmospheric scientists believe that warming is largely due to human actions, adding gases to the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas.

Maybe THIS will be the "manufactured outcome" of this new "agency"....

SO why are we dumping millions into NASA's little department that does the same thing - I think it's NASA?

Yeap barry is restructuring nasa and stopping the constelation program and with it most of our space exploration (relaying on the russians to continue the space station program) and making sure that they use the funds that they will get goes to the "Science of weather"......

The decision to shelve the shuttle fleet and build the new manned ships was not made by the Obama administration. It was made during the previous one. Its not a decision I am happy about either, I wouldn't want to depend on Russia for my phone service, much less regular access to ISS.
It is my understanding he DID approve more funding for the ISS to keep it up until at least 2020.
If you're gonna throw rocks at least hurl them in the right direction.

But can we handle the truth? You did hear that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction too. From what I read somewhere it was cake mix, although I am not sure if it was Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines or a store brand.

Yep, I heard it, and we to date, the un-classifed version have found in excess of 225 nerve gas shells and the 500 metric tons of "yellow cake" uranium. Before anyone starts calling names etc, keep in mind that my nephew and son found some of them when stationed there. Of course who wants to know the truth?

Was it complete or did they have to add milk and eggs? Could you please provide a link to these facts.

I can latter, I am hungry now. You can find the artical buried in the Wash Post. The one about shipping out the yellow cake. Much was told to me by my nephew, he found many of them himself. I believe him, he was there.

Even if they had yellow cake did they have frosting? Did they have means of delivery ie tupperware?

It is possible to talk with Oiler and others in here. I enjoy the chats. I don't know about you yet, I assume that you are either just trying to rag on people or have no idea of the importance of yellow cake urainum. If I am wrong please set me straight in a civil manner. I don't think that I have been rude to you, if I have please let me know how so I can avoid it in the future.

Here is just one link to the story on the removal of the "Yellow Cake" This material was part of the "WMD" problem. It is just one of the raw materials used to make weapons grade nuke stuff.

This was a story by MSNBC. Oh, and I was wrong if this artical is correct. I said 500 metric tons, this states 550.But what is 50 metric tons among friends?

Please don't EVEN try to explain the intell "failures" to me. I think after 20 years in the business I know something of what went on. I KNOW that those weapons existed. I worked that program. I KNOW that they were used on the Kurds and Irainians. I worked that program. I KNOW that yellow cake was there. Nothing is as simple as you want to make it out to be.

If you REALLY want to go into intell failure, and successes I can discuss it with you, but I doubt very much that you would believe a word I said. You seem to have made up your mind that only one side of an issue can be right. I would love to know your sources and background on the intell subject.

In case you are wondering, those weapons go back years. Reagan and Clinton were well aware of their exsistence. They were never accounted for after the First Gulf War (the last one I was involved with). Many were known to have been moved into Syria, some have been found and most are still unaccounted for.

I didn't say barry shelved the shuttle, you are right that decision was made before he was elected. But the Constellation Program was the next manned program to go back to space and was moving on schedule...barry has cut the funding in his next budget for that and basically ended our space explorationagain, leaving it to the russians.....a simple google of "obama ends funding for Nasa's Constellation" provide more then a few links for this info....

Oh and as for continued funding for the ISS till 2020, yea he did, but then he leaves us relying on the russians to get back there...oh and the russians are more then willing to take our people back there, at a price....which is higher then those they will charge others....yea, he extended the , he just see's no reason for us to go back up there unless we pay another country to haul our azz's back up there.......

I would have rather seen Obama take the initiative to take resources that are duplicated in other departments within the government and use that money to accelerate the program. Clinton and Bush should have been forcing NASA to move on retiring the shuttle to produce a replacement vehicle. It isn't like we didn't have the technology, when a guy builds something that flys into space in his back yard, NASA could have put something together in a few years.
