I remember the days of buy American. I remember the Wal-mart ads that boasted the number of American made products
Now they can boast about the number of made in China products
I wish we could just choose not to do business with the businesses that choose not to manufacture products here
Unfortunately, you'd be living back in the 1800's since almost everything is made elsewhere.
It's a sad day in America

I drive a Hino truck and drive a Scion made my Toyota. I'm typing this post on a Toshiba while watching my 57" Toshiba
Under a Ceiling fan that is American Made!!!

Geez , a Hino ?? I can understand people buying foreign made products to get better quality but a Hino ?? BTW Freightliners made in Mexico won't be better quality for sure but maybe those arrogant Sprinter um ... guys will get to haul some of those parts .

If I get moving fast enough...*LOL*

No rest for the wicked here either...Steve might be coming in today to do that second cutting...That extra batch of kittens that moved in need to be fed...and I've got squash and beans and beets that need putting up. But not until I get this second cup of coffee pumping thru my veins...

Think I'm going to have a tomato sandwich for breakie...picked one that needed just a touch more ripening and it's looking ready this morning. And it's pretty brisk here..not made it to 60 yet. Harvesters still haven't left to go cutting.

The Hino was cheaper than the International and I don't like the Freightliner M2's Anyways, I don't have to worry about repairs etc it is covered. Next truck might be one of the Kenworth T270's with the hybrid battery pack who knows

juju ...around here chickens are raise really fast and fed commerical feed, not like the old farm yard chickens so we normally brine or marniate them when we are doing large amounts

as to them getting salty,,,you bet if you aren't careful or use a good brine..we have close to 100 lbs of chocken and turkey brining over night..here is brine this ...also these are breast so they tend to be dryer also and this makes them very moist..

1 gallon soy, 1 gallon lemon juice, 1/2 gallon cider vinegar, 3 tablespoons dried tarragon...brine no longer then 4-6 hours..with this the vinegar drives the marinate into the meat and the lemin cuts the saltiness of the soy...

another one i use is very good also, but it as alot of salt so you ony brine breast for an hour , pieces for 1.5 hrs and whole cornish hens for 2 hrs....whole young chickens that have been split, 1.5 hrs

1 gallon water , 3/4 cup kosher salt . 2/3 cup sugar,

3/4 cup soy sauce , 1 teaspoon each of dried tarragon, thyme, black pepper, 1/4 cup olive oil

Then if you want really good fried chicken, brine it in buttermilk overnight.....mmmm good

I don't think the mods should have taken issue with you OVM, your assessment of that "individual" appeared to be right on the money!

Thanks Star....I am quite sure this guy will pop up again when there is an opening for his comments...

Hey I said a bad word and got my typing fingers slapped...I can live with that....:)

If you weren't so darn arrogant you wouldn't have these problems.... In Evansville that is...(I'm trying to stick to the topic)
