So why didn't Allen West ask the prosecutor who made the determination as to whether it was or wasn't a hate crime? He [West] certainly has enough name recognition to expect that he might get an answer, unlike those of us who are simply the 'public', so why did he choose instead to ask it as a rhetorical question, on a website blog?
That's a good question too, methinks.

Maybe he did but didn't get an answer. Perhaps if he or Ben Carson can become the first black president they can ask again and get an answer.

Yes, we're still waiting on the first black president. You can't count the current president as he's 50/50 so he goes both ways. Either of the other two gentlemen, and numerous others, could actually be so. Or is this just another area where we're going to give him more than the actual amount of credit due?
