What's your "other" ride?

Broom's post about the Ford GT ride got me thinking. What do we all keep at home?

Are you like me and figure that If you drive it 3 days a month, why have a payment?

Or like my co-driver and have the nicest set of wheels you can afford for your hometime?

Let me know what your thinking is on this subject.

I went cheap, driving it 3 days a month, I wasn't going to spend much, and needed something to handle MI winter. Here's my $800 '89 Ranger.

I am not on the road anymore but when I was we got away with a 1997 Ford Escort for our short time at home. Now I have 2 cars but the Escort which is coming up for a 10 year anniversary still chugs away. For the record it is the bet and most trouble free car I have ever owned. Local driving 31 MPG,Highway 36 MPG.

Our rides are a 2000 Silverado, 1979 TransAm and Jim's newest baby, a 2006 Big Dog K9 Chopper - that he was thrilled to be able to ride while we were off for the holidays. (Living in NE PA, you don't get much of a chance to ride in December and January)

This may sound silly, but I bought a used Corvette. The way I look at it It is going to sit in the Garage,and get driven 2-10 days a month and It is alot more fun to drive than a Buick or Ford and 5 years from now I can still get what I paid for it.

This has been the other ride since I bought it new in 86
Mustang SVO...Still as clean as the day I bought it.

My daughter has taken away my 00 Silverado Regular Cab LS in the same shape as the day I bought it new. She puts one dent in it, and I get it back. Paid for it new.

So I drive her, that I bought for her, a 92 Honda Accord Loaded. Boy what a machine this is. But the good news is ITS PAID FOR ALSO.

For fun my 99 Dyna Low Rider (Convertable) for those of you that know what Harley Dyna's are.

For real fun, I have a classic 69 Firebird Convertable, original right down to the radio knobs. Factory fresh condition, matching #s, perfect lines, paint, interior, and top. Car appraised, and I had to take a seat after seeing it. Light blue, white top, original rims, had the guys at JGR tear it down and put it back together, engine was rebuilt and repainted, transmission rebuilt, AC works (very cold), front fenders I trashed, and one door, rear fenders in great shape, and so was all of the chrome. Wife looks great in this car, I just get to clean it when I come home. Stored in the garage under cover, maybee 1,500 miles a year on it. Sounds better than it looks also.

We have a '96 GMC Yukon, an '01 Ford F450 and a '99 Harley Softail. The Ford's for sale and all set up for towing 5th wheels if anyone's interested!

This time of year I can't ride my favorite toys... This morning when I woke up, and looked out the window, there's more of that lovely white stuff on the ground!! But my toy of choice has always been my harleys... '03 Roadking Classic, and my '06 Electra Glide Classic.. I'm not good at the whole HTML stuff, but if you search my space and look for "live to ride", you can see my toys..

Being home very little, I do enjoy my 1996 chrylser sebring convertiable, but when weather is bad I enjoy 2000 chevy suburban

I found this 1969 mach 1 428 scj mustang in beckly wv back in 1989
and have been playing with ever since.
