Uses For D Truck Other Than Expediting

I'm not trying to post a D truck equivalent to 101 things to do with a dead cat, but it occurs to me that expediting is not the only thing that you can do with a D truck. Here are a few other things, I suppose:

1. You could haul a single car in the back.

2. If you had a hitch you could deliver boats, horse trailers and RVs.

3. You could move apartment dwellers who are moving long distances.

4. Some LTL loads.

5. You could move an elephant like in Smokey and the Bandit II.

6. You could rent it out as a storage facility while it is parked.

7. You could sell ad space on the side and drive it around town.

8. You could provide class B CDL truck rental for the driving test.

Any other uses that I haven't listed that may be realistic options for someone with a D truck and not enough expedited freight to move?

if your company allows it there are a couple of companies that will pay to ads on side of your truck or van from as little as 190.00 a month and up

this would be a great way to take care of the fuel surcharge
i have done adv on the back door of one of my truck's before it was cut out and it was a .20 cents per mile write off and did it for 18 months and the 1st year was a 20,000 dollar write off and off the top
but it was cut out and now not able to do it

and when i was running single had a couple of van drivers offer me
45 dollars for use of top bunk , but told em no

rich m i'm not that bad

George your not bad at all. I admire your resourcefullness. I remember in the Roberts days when many of us were sitting around at a Petro etc you would be out hustling some product or other.

I converted mine to flatbeds and sold them.
They make great wreckers.
When they run out of school buses, they can be used for hauling watermelons down here in Florida.
