I am not sure if i should mention this but one of our team in admin is ill so i believe and i personally think that we all should put in a buck or two and buy this great lady a big bunch of flowers or a fruit basket come on 1 dollar or to the ones that is not miserable $2.00 she is a great lady in my books like everyone at load 1 ,

just to say we are thinking of you & get well quick i am sure the company has already done it

but this is from the drivers she deals with everyday by going thru your logs day in day out the way i see it is dispatch gives you a load tell frankie pam caren christie mark etc etc to take a buck out or two for donation towards a bunch of flowers or fruit basket or drop into the office never don,t this before but if i had right now a spare $40.00 i would have already bought these flowers or fruit basket by the way middlebelt rd on the corner of euraka great fruit market in there bloody cheap as well bought a bunch of banana there today for $2.00 i am talking about twelve ok

Pete,

please please don't tell anyone about Blocks (the fruit market), we are trying to keep it to ourselves for a while. If you like corn, you need to be there in july when they open - stuff a bag and get it for $2.50

Dave, you don't get that part?

Pete,
they open in the spring to sell plants and things for the garden. Then they close up and reopen in July of every year with a lot of the good stuff. By August they are in full swing with all the veggies and fruits, but they don't always have some things on hand. In October, they close up shop until next year.

July and August are the best time for corn, September and October seem to have smaller ears with a bit of protein added. They bring the corn in by a tractor and a couple of trailers at a time.

If you like Tomatoes, they have them for 59 cents a pound, last weeks were very fresh. Same with leaf lettuce (very fresh) and of course cukes, squash and cabbage.

By the way we used to have something like 20 of these types of places around the area and this is one of three left.
