Here's a truck I saw on ebay - 2004 Columbia straight, dual axel, automatic, Rig Master, and 442k miles. I have no doubt that it would've gotten $40k last year.

It went for $17,400!!!

I'm sure there'll be more to come.

Sounds nice but not many of us have that kind of cash laying around to buy it with. Can't see a bank wanting to finance right now with the economy and the banking industry the way it is.

For 6 months I have had my old 2000 sterling class 8 stretched to a 10-wheeler for sale.It had the original Dupont Imron paint, the shiniest paint I have seen, polished aluminum wheels,etc. Truck was real nice and clean, really didnt need much of anything.I had it for sale for $15,000, then dropped it to $12,000. Only 2 serius bites on it in that time,they both had great credit, and the banks would not finance that little amount!!! The lender told me that banks are not willing to lend $$$$ on commercial vehicles right now.Too much of a risk, the way the economy is.I ended up turning it in last week.
