Is it normal to smell some fumes while using this system. Never tried it before....

Exhaust fumes? Probably. I don't know about the newest systems, but all of the older self powered ones had three cylinder diesels running just a muffler with no aftertreatment and they had simple inline injection pumps. Smoke and smells are normal.
Now, if this thing has a plume of black smoke constantly being emitted, then there's probably an issue.

Make sure you have a Co2/smoke detector in your sleeper. What you don't see, or smell, that will kill you quicker than anything.

Well it quit working all together now.... Will have my mechanic look at it I guess. Thanks
