Peter Schiff: The Worst Has Yet To Come - Business Insider
While we experienced a devastating crash in 2009, it was just a preview for the catastrophe that's coming next, says perma-bear Peter Schiff.

The real crash will come from the "government's phony cure" for the economic troubles that have swept our nation, Schiff details in his new book The Real Crash: How To Save Yourself And Your Country.

Find out what the crash will look like and why it could have been avoided in the interview with Business Insider editor-in-chief Henry Blodget:

I disagree with a lot of what Schiff has said in the past about buying gold to prepare for the doomsday scenario, but I agree there is a likelihood of more pain in the future. We never let the automotive industry fix itself and never will because of the thug unions.

This is a recurring theme for a Title of a thread for many a year and many a Congress....dooms day is coming....but never quite gets here....America puddles along, not the best of times BUT certainly not the worst of times either....There never was a promise of an easy life. Life is what you make of it...Hard work, determination and don't let anyone kick you to the curb...It is still doable here in the US of A. Quit expecting too much from your government and do it yourself...

We are going to see what we are seeing in Europe. ALL of the deficit spending is catching up, and fast. There is no way to avoid this. Far too many have been expecting the government to do too much. Why? Because the government WANTED it that way. They were taught dependence in our schools for years. The unions preached it as gospel. Those of us who stand against it, who want to return to sanity, are labeled as 'radicals'. Funny Those who are destroying our Constitution and economy are calling US 'radicals'. The circle is about to close.

Spain, Portegal, Italy, Ireland are ALL in trouble. It is going to take at least 50 years to begin to pay down the debt, if it does not fall apart before then. It is time to pay for ALL of those freebies. They DON'T want to do it. I don't believe that Europe, and the US, has the guts to do what needs done.

Modern society as we have come to know it can no longer be supported.

What makes you think I have too MUCH money anyway? I own a truck, there is NO WAY that I have too much money.

So am at the check in at motel yesterday....2 singles like me same style room....clerk says 49.95...1st guy pays up...and then 2nd guy, same deal 49.95 and he pays up....My turn...clerk says 49.95....I respond with AAA, now $44.95 less the difference in tax...the other 2 have now given the NM tax people an extra $1.00 and the motel 10.00 in corporate profits....
I guess those 2 had too much money and had to give some away.....Did you know a lot of fast food places have a seniors discount?....and even Flyingj/Pilot does...

Some place have discounts, but the definition of a 'senior' varies between 55-65. We use them where we can.

Besides, we won't be doing too much fast food for a bit, or even eating for that matter. We have come up with a GREAT weight loss program. We call it 'The Truck Repair Diet'. First the inverter went bad and now it seems that our garbage breath APU is on it's way out the door. I would guess a blown head gasket.

SO, we are on our way home. Losing MORE time and MORE money, and spending a TON to get back to work. YEAH, I have TOO much money!

We are going to put on a rehabed Rigmaster. NO WAY in pluperfect hell I am going to fix this over sized boat anchor.
