After pre-empting all the shows on TV for three hours with interviews, game details, play by play action of the water boy and highlighting celebrations all over the state - even Grandholm had a given an "impromptu" speech from the state's G5 going to Europe - it was found out that WC Ford paid the Redskins to lose the game.
The redskins inturn decided to get a middle school team to play and put rubber masks on the kids to make it look like the Redskin players so not to prevent the real players from being depressed over the defeat but still the Lions barely won.
