Kind of looks like prosecutors want to make that a crime. Knowingly walking past damaged property.

Well, since you seem to be kind of slow in being able to figure what is actually going on there, allow me to explain:

Similar to yourself, some of the riotous miscreants are offering up all sorts of excuses to excuse their conduct at the Capitol.

Prosecutors a rebutting their claims by showing evidence - at least in some cases - that the folks doing this, had awareness (or should have) of what was going on and what had taken place.

On the one hand, the prosecutors basis for the premise they are advancing has some legitimacy.

OTOH, we are talking about MAGA's ... so there's that.

Why are prosecutors leaning into then, that a protester knowingly walked past damaged property? For what purpose other to implicate someone with an enhanced charge and sentence recommendation.

I already covered this, but knowing that repetition is necessary ... in at least some cases:

It serves as a basis to refute the rather disingenuous claims of "We were just touristing !" ... and all other manner of whiny claims of how they should not be held accountable for what they did that day.

If you can show any examples (using a legitimate source) of these "enhanced charges" that your rather fertile mind seems to be imaging exist as a consequence of the language we're talking about, I'm certainly open to having a look.

In the meantime, please feel free to continue moaning about the persecution.

Were they rioting in the video at the door before they were let in?

Doesn't much matter ... but yes, they were participating in an ongoing riot.

The Jan 6th riot was an event that occurred over a number of hours.

Just because some participant in the mob wasn't doing something at some particular point, doesn't mean that they are absolved for what took place at a previous point and what took place after.

Try to be honest.

Seems like a very strange admonition to make, considering ...

Over a number of hours with many thousands of people, many that didn’t know what happened earlier. But lets lump them all together and call them all rioters or worse.

You keep trying to run that "earlier" business ... as though there wasn't ongoing violence occurring ... right up to the point where the rioters were pushed out of the Capitol around 5:30 - 6:00.

It's weak and pretty lame ... as well as being fairly laughable.

:tearsofjoy:

I don't "lump them all together" ... I am referring to exactly whom I am referring to.

The problem is they spew their garbage outside of EO world.
Speaking of garbage, how about San Francisco, LA, NYC, Chicago, Minneapolis, Baltimore, or most any other major metro area in a dark blue state that's waist deep in the physical stuff caused by the political garbage that these anointed liberals try to call "governing". In addition to the trash, sewage, and quality of life let's not forget about the crime rates in these places where Democrat prosecutors, mayors and governors treat criminals as victims. How about taxes and cost of living created by the liberal aristocracy? We could dedicate an entire thread about their "garbage", and it's effect on the real world.

Yes, those places are screwed up, but
we're not talking about the messes those places are in.

Perhaps we should start yet another thread.
