Except when other Republicans speak Ill-willed toward Trump, then it’s hunky-dory.

And there's the problem that Democrats will continue to promote. Considering the failures of state-level Democrats and their descent into anarchic socialism, along with Biden's godawful record and mental incapacity, their prospects right now of winning the White House in '24 are dismal - unless Trump gets the nomination.

Considering all that, the problem Republicans and conservatives face is the very possible scenario of a Trump-Biden rematch. Will the GOP unite behind a Trump ticket and develop an updated strategy to develop and harvest voters like the Democrats? Will the voters hold their nose and vote for Trump rather than allow the re-election of the worst POTUS since the invention of the light bulb?

For the sake of our country, we'd better hope voter enthusiasm for Trump flames out before the GOP primary even starts. Also, the voters need an alternative they can vote for with optimistic enthusiasm, not Nikki Haley or Mike Pence.

DeSantis needs to throw his hat in the ring this summer.

So there's no corroboration to support the photo, which is why it didn't get legs with the media when it was trotted out 18 mos ago. But this is apparently all about Trump, which is fair considering he was stupid enough to post something like this. He continues to be his own worst enemy, especially with his unfiltered social media tripe. However, it remains to be seen if Trump fatigue will set in before the GOP primary starts in earnest.

I recently saw a convincing report about Trump supporters who want someone other than Trump to run. They love Trump as much as they always have, and if he was the nominee, they would vote for him. But they are seeking someone else because they do not believe Trump can win.

This Will be Interesting

Portions of the Fulton County Special Grand Jury report will be released on Thursday. This is not the federal DOJ, it's a county jury. This is not the FBI, it's a group of citizens who were called to report for jury duty. We'll soon learn what they have to say or not say about certain election crimes after hearing from over 80 witnesses and considering deeply what they heard.

The other grand juries, the one dealing with the Mar-a-Lago documents, and the one dealing with Jan 6, have not completed their work. Depending on how things flow, we may never see reports from those bodies. That makes this Fulton County report all the more interesting.

DeSantis' time at Darlington has been reported on before. During the 2001-2002 school year, when DeSantis was 23 years old, he taught at Darlington between his graduation from Yale University and his enrollment at Harvard Law School.

These quotes would not secure a conviction in a court of law but they provide ample reason to believe the reports are true. DeSantis did in fact party with high school girls (and boys I presume) when he was their teacher. If push came to shove and an actual investigation was launched, it would be a simple matter for the investigators to find the witnesses and get their testimony.

That's not going to happen, nor should it. But the story about this is likely to be heard again and again as Trump promotes it and others too.

This is a unique argument borne out of unique circumstances. When is the Vice President of the United States part of the executive branch and when is he part of the legislative branch? One some of the time and the other at other times? Both all of the time? Neither all of the time?

It's a clever point to raise. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out in court.

This is not a new idea for Republicans, and it started in California. Now that Trump is adopting the practice, the entire GOP will have to go along with it, including Rhonna McDaniel and the hapless RNC. In an age when people can buy groceries online and have them delivered within a few hours, why would people want to spend most of a day standing in line to vote when there are better alternatives available?

To win, Republicans must embrace the new election rules

Rather than rail against stolen elections, Republicans need to embrace immediately the permissive election environment they cannot avoid.
