The Trump Card...

The "full report" from Fulton County won't make any difference; he won't be indicted. Trump has endured more political criticism, persecution and prosecution than any POTUS in history, two sham impeachments, and a special prosecutor who wasted years and millions of taxpayer dollars investigating a fantasy based on lies. What ever happened to the Mar-a-Lago document scandal? Funny how that faded away.

My guess is now the Democrats don't want him to be indicted because he's the only Republican candidate they can beat in 2024 - especially if Biden runs for re-election. One would think the country could do better than having to choose between these two candidates.

I'm not as certain as you about that. We'll know fairly soon as the Fulton County DA has said decisions are immanent.

It faded out of the news because there have been no public developments but the investigation continues.

Your guess is as good as mine and you are free to do that. I'm sure you could find Democrats who agree with you and I'm sure you could find other Democrats who would disagree.

We can always hope but a whole lot of good, decent and capable people who could serve the country well stay out of politics because they find the game repulsive.

The classified documents has now crossed over to include Biden and he HAS broken a few laws....first as a senator and then as vice president.
Just because hes president now does not keep him from being charged for the crimes.....but oh wait never mind hes a Democrat.

Do you know the DOJ policy about charging sitting presidents with crimes?

He won't be president for long....and if they go after trump Biden is in the same boat only worse.....because Biden did do the crime of taking classified documents home with no scif as a senator and vice president.
Biden committed treason and espionage because he wrote classified information in notebooks.

It's hard to believe this bimbo was chosen to be the foreperson of a grand jury investigating a case this important. Thanks to her, any indictments against Trump or anyone else will be thrown out of court.

"On CNN, liberal host Anderson Cooper and legal analyst Elie Honig bemoaned her media tour. Cooper said he was "wincing" at her ebullience and Honig called her interviews a "prosecutor's nightmare."

Prosecutors don’t want the brightest bulbs on the grand jury. They want to control their narrative as much as possible with jurors not smart enough to realize it.

The reporting is she volunteered to so serve after no one else on the jury wanted the role. She was unemployed at the time, making it easy for her to serve on a jury like this.

No. While the grins, giggles, face-making and over-sharing by this special grand jury foreperson are regrettable and stupid, they are not enough to void any indictments against Trump the regular grand jury may later issue. The special grand jury did not speak through its foreperson. It spoke through its report which was passed on to the regular grand jury. That was a serious document backed by serious evidence and testimony, passed on to the next grand jury that will consider the report. That grand jury actually has the power to indict. The giddiness and stupidity of someone from a previous grand jury will be a minor item if the regular grand jury indicts.

The foreperson produced a distracting side-show that will be quickly forgotten when the serious stuff hits the fan. I'm hoping the judge and the county DA privately read the foreperson the riot act, and that the foreperson now realizes how big and stupid her mistake was, and that we never hear from her again.

No - really? A number of actual legal experts aren't so sure. No doubt all the Trump haters are once again rubbing their hands with glee thinking "we've got him this time!" But when the actual evidence is analyzed there may be no indictments at all, and this ditzy idiot with the big nose and yellow teeth who seems to have enchanted the mainstream media may create a serious obstacle to that course of action. Even the far-left legal talking heads at MSNBC are concerned.

"A blabbing grand jury threatens to upend the whole enterprise. At some point, impropriety by a grand jury could be grounds for a claim of violation of the due process rights of the accused. And a successful claim could taint anything that occurred afterward, requiring dismissal of any indictments and a complete do-over, so long as the statute of limitations has not yet run.
This remains an unlikely scenario but one that should not be risked, especially when the stakes are so high. Already we are hearing rumblings from unhappy GOP witnesses — and their lawyers."
