The Impending Obama Meltdown

It can't happen fast enough....:D

Some of us have been warning that it was not healthy for the U.S. media to have deified rather than questioned Obama, especially given that they tore apart Bush, ridiculed Palin, and caricatured Hillary. And now we can see the results of their two years of advocacy rather than scrutiny.

We are quite literally after two weeks teetering on an Obama implosion—and with no Dick Morris to bail him out—brought on by messianic delusions of grandeur, hubris, and a strange naivete that soaring rhetoric and a multiracial profile can add requisite cover to good old-fashioned Chicago politicking.

First, there were the sermons on ethics, belied by the appointments of tax dodgers, crass lobbyists, and wheeler-dealers like Richardson—with the relish of the Blago tapes still to come. (And why does Richardson/Daschle go, but not Geithner?).

Second, was the "stimulus" (the euphemism for "borrow/print money") that was simply a way to go into debt for a generation to shower Democratic constinuencies with cash.

Then third, there were the inflated lectures on historic foreign policy to be made by the clumsy political novice who trashed his own country and his predecessor in the most ungracious manner overseas to a censured Saudi-run press organ (e.g., Bush is dictatorial, the Saudi king is courageous; Obama can mend bridges that America broke to aggrieved Muslims (apparently Tehran hostages, Rushdie, serial attacks in the 1990s, 9/11, Madrid, London never apparently occurred, and neither did feeding Somalis, saving Kuwait, protesting Chechnya, Bosnia/Kosovo, billions to Egypt, Jordan, the Palestinians, help in two Afghan wars, and on and on).

Fourth, there was the campaign rhetoric of Bush shredding the Constitution—FISA, Guantanamo, Patriot Act, Iraq, renditions, etc.—followed by "all that for now stays the same" inasmuch as we haven't ben hit in over seven years and can't risk another attack.

Fifth, Gibbs as press secretary is a Scott McClellan nightmare that won't go away, given his long McClellan-like relationship with Obama (McClellan should have been fired on day hour one on the job). Blaming Fox News for Obama's calamities is McClellan to the core and doesn't work. He already reminds me of Rev. Wright's undoing at the National Press Club—and he will get worse.

Six, Biden is being Biden. Already, he's ridiculed the chief justice, trashed the former VP, bragged on himself ad nauseam in Bidenesque weird ways, and it's only been two weeks.

And the result of all this?

At home, Obama is becoming laughable and laying the groundwork for the greatest conservative populist reaction since the Reagan Revolution.
Abroad, some really creepy people are lining up to test Obama's world view of "Bush did it/but I am the world": The North Koreans are readying their missiles; the Iranians are calling us passive, bragging on nukes and satellites; Russia is declaring missile defense is over and the Euros in real need of iffy Russian gas; Pakistanis say no more drone attacks (and then our friends the Indians say "shut up" about Kashmir and the Euros order no more 'buy American").

This is quite serious. I can't recall a similarly disastrous start in a half-century (far worse than Bill Clinton's initial slips). Obama immediately must lower the hope-and-change rhetoric, ignore Reid/Pelosi, drop the therapy, and accept the tragic view that the world abroad is not misunderstood but quite dangerous. And he must listen on foreign policy to his National Security Advisor, Billary, and Sec. of Defense. If he doesn't quit the messianic style and perpetual campaign mode, and begin humbly governing, then he will devolve into Carterism—angry that the once-fawning press betrayed him while we the people, due to our American malaise, are to blame.

Looks like the kind of newspaper you read is found in the checkout line at the 7/11.
The National Lampoon contains more news.

If the avatar wasn't clear enough, the admission that the Chef WANTS the President to fail is proof enough for me that America is too good for (and to) people like this.

Dennis....We know you hate everything Obama...BUT to say screw America and throw in the towel....thats UnAmerican...IF you think it's that bad you should be more proactive in fighting this guy thru the political process.....to throw up anti Obama news every rumour every anti statement from every nutcase that has an opinion.....your time would be better spent finding a way to stop what you don't like......

The way it stands now..IF Obama fails and America fails it is going to be partly your fault as well for not defending your rights!!

Ok i went over this once before, but I will again. The screw thru the Flag FOR ME, is to show what our government has done to our Constitution and Bill of Rights, and the people of this country which the Flag represents. The polictians have screwed over everything that our founding fathers stood for and put in place for the safe keeping by the people and in doing so they have and continue to screw the people.

Our government is no longer what is was meant to be.. it was put in place so the the people controlled the politicians and the government, not the other way around as it has become. We have nothing but a corrupt federal government that has slowly taken the power from the people and now is swiftly moving to a socialist state with the election of this fool in office and his socialist marxist ideals. The sad fact is we the people have let this happen.

As for working to perserve my rights, you have no idea what I do and what groups i support and the actions I am involved in. Working to get this person from office, that will happen at the next election, if we are not turned into such a socialist state that he will fulfill his desire to be king.

And for what it is worth, I am NOT a Republican, so i have do loyality to either party...

I don't have to be in favor of the president and his plans or ideas and i don't have wish him good luck or give him a chance, to be a good citizen, nor does hoping he fails say I am a "bad American" I can hope he fails because if he gets his way, we will see nationalized industries and socialized medicine and a socialist economy, a welfare state beyond anything we have ever seen or envisioned and we will see the collapse of our country, liberties and freedoms as we go.

He has stated that our Constitution is out dated and needs to be changed, that doesn't sit well with most of America, but some of you obvisously are ok with his socialist views, you all won, and he has reminded the Repubs and media of that a few times in the past 16 days he has been in office.... So just because I hope he fails, doesn't mean I hate this country, I fought for this country and the flag and the people, but even that doesn't mean as much as the fact that I was born here and am entitled to all that birth and God gives me, including disagreeing with the government and making that disapproval known and working to defeat him when it can be done...

There you go.:D

PS: As to defending my rights, believe me, I am doing and will do just fine in that area.....:D

And on that subject, it seems that even while I have never had as much as a PM or any indication from a mod or admin here that I am doing anything wrong, a few members here would like to deprive me of my right to post as i do.... When I am a guest in this forum, I am a guest of the owner, not the members, so at this point, he (they and or his agents) have granted me the rights to continue doing as I am....must not be a overwelming issue with them......I have said in more then one thread that if my posting if causing the owner or mods an issue, simply let me know, and I'll change my habits.........

PSS: Even if Osamaba fails, that doesn't mean America will fail, this country has gotten past more them him, but if his plans come to be, then American will have failed, at least the America we all grew up in and the America the founding fathers gave us....But even they knew the people would screw it up, they even said the the people would need to "take back this country", even if it cost the blood of the tyrrants and patriots......

I've said this before, but maybe it bears repeating: wanting BHO to fail is NOT the same thing as wanting the USA to fail. There are many of us that think his liberal ideology and his socialist tendencies are dangerous for the country. With than in mind, many conservatives want him and his agenda to fail.

The Democrats displayed the same intentions with Bush, with the obstructionist tactics they used in congress during his entire administration. How many times did we hear Gephart, Pelosi or Reed gloatingly call Bush a "failure" and refer to his "failed policies of the past" when refering to policies with which they disagreed? Even worse, how obvious were their intentions to undermine the Iraq war, calling it "failed" and "lost" at the most premature and inopportune times? It could easily be said that the Democrats not only wanted Bush to fail, they were obvious in wanting the USA to fail in Iraq. Now they get their panties in a wad when anyone mentions "failure" in the same sentence as "Obama". I think we all want Obama to do the right things for the country - and it's our right to disagree when we think he's doing the wrong things.

LOL, weird is ok as is a "general PITA to some!! But it is all good. :D

The simple fact is people don't take the tie to become informed. I am working with a local campiagn to recall the mayor of Toledo. Up until last week, by support had been with cash. Last weekend when I was home from thursday to sunday, I also worked several public events to collect signatures of registered voters to the recall petitions. When we asked people if they were registered voters, a large number of them said "no", they have never voted at all.

Now in Ohio it is illegal to smoke in public places, it was a vote of the people that passed this 2 yrs ago. You would be surprised how many of the same people that aren't registered to vote, were the same people that went outside to smoke several times. At on place when 4 of them came back in, I asked all of them if they were registered , they all said no. I then asked them if they knew why they had to go outsode to smoke, they all just laughed and said yea, cause we don't vote......

Even when it affects them directly, most Americans don't take the time to vote, unless they are paid and given a ride to the polls by acorn.........
