Steve Irwin was a bit annoying to me, but he was a brilliant conservationist. He gave a unique perspective of the world's wildlife, even a somewhat dangerous perspective. It's sad that he would die the way he did, though, maybe expected. He did live on the edge, afterall. CRIKEY! :(

How about Timothy that hung out with Grizzlie Bears in Alaska until one of them decided he would be a good lunch.

Well there is a big difference between Irwin and a nut.

Be one with the bears ..... be one with the bears ..... be on

Irwin stepped into "nut" territory when he fed that crock while holding his baby. I saw nothing to be proved by doing that.

I agree. I saw the show on TV about Timothy and that dude was very clearly whacked out of his freakin' gord. I would consider Irwin to be more average crazy. I did expect his demise to be a bit more violent than it was.

One thing about his death was that he overestimated himself, once again. His cockiness overroad his common sense.

yes very sad he's gone but he lives on in our minds and reruns. My question is how well his son feel about animal conservation when he gets older. Will he fellow his fathers footsteps or Ted Nugents?
