And we're going to compete against China how? Maybe a culture that invents terms like Intelligent Design in an attempt to subvert our children's education has been on the wrong track. Or maybe President Reagan had a bad side effect. Ever since he took office we seem to celebrate the lack of brains, like somehow dim people are better people.

my goodness...all them social engineered countries...Finland, Sweden, Canada, the Swiss and Poland even....it is all their fault..they don't know how to live....really?

The more the Federal government has gotten involved in education, the lower the scores go, by design. Fools are easily controlled. The Soviet's used that method to a "T". Get the feds out and the scores will begin to move back up.

The federal department of education should be shut down. It has no value whatsoever. Based on the provided information, we are getting our "clock cleaned" because other countries put a higher value on education and achievement.
Here in the US, we are more focused on feelings.
