South Dakota tops nation in response to census requests

LINCOLN, Neb. -- South Dakota, North Dakota and Nebraska are leading the country when it comes to filling out and returning census forms.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha said Tuesday that census data released on Monday show that South Dakota is first, with a 58 percent of households having returned census forms. Nebraska is tied with North Dakota for the second-best overall participation rate, 57 percent.

A week ago Nebraska ranked fifth, North Dakota was third, South Dakota second and Montana ranked first.

The national return rate stands at 46 percent.

We haven't received ours yet, we do not get home mail delivery, so I am not sure if they send the census to a P.O. Box

Same here, we won't find out if we got one for a month yet. Not that it matters, we are going to smart off on it anyway!!

They will get 2 adults and a bunch of "nunjas" LOL!!

Hmmm...since the one of the 1st questiones asked is " how any people live at the address as of "APRIL 1st" it would seem that all of those people have committed fraud...

I was going to joke and say so 58 percent of the 8342 residents already returned it just for a chance to use the number 8342 but I see the population stats already posted. I'll have to find somewhere else for 8342.
