Sleeper Cab a/c

I have an fl 60 with factory sleeper cab. My a/c in the sleeper barely blows at all. Is this normal or not? I does blow cold but is unable to keep the back of the cab even remotely cold. I basically have to freeze out the front of the cab to make the back bearable to sleep in at night.

Check you in cab air filiter, it might need changed. They greatly restrict air flow when plugged. Do you have an APU? That would help out a lot and with a small sleeper like that you would not need a really big one.

See if you have an air filter under the bunk wear the fan motor is located.

I am really considering buying a van, but don't know how much I will have to put down on it. And how much operating expenses I will need to start.

Awesome advice, I'll check all the items mentioned. I do know that the fan seems to have multiple speeds but they are all almost unnoticeable. Thanks for the advise

fl60 with a factory sleeper?

I never saw that listed anywhere. I thought all fl50 - 70s were day or extended cabs?

Anywho, It may be a fan or the resister pack that controls the speed going bad.

Even if there is a blockage, you should feel something coming through the vents.

A few sleeper manufactures use a common HVAC unit, which includes the heater. The core becomes blocked with crude and needs to be carefully opened and washed in place - it can be done because there are drains for the A/C.

Well It came set up with a sleeper. Maybe not from freightliner but it was set up as an expeditor truck. That might make more sense?
