Romney as Commander and Chief

I'm interested in others opinons. I wonder how Romney would handle foreign policy if elected commader and chief of our armed forces. I was once baptized as a mormon and know that it is against there belief to take up arms and go to war. During Viet Nam they registered for the draft as conciencious objecters. Thanks in advance for any opinions.

I know where your coming from and wonder how he will and stay in good graces of the Mormon Church. He did say on a couple of occasions about keeping Russia in check and also not giving in to Pacastan. He also made the statement about being Isreals aly no matter what. Iran is another he has stated will not get the bomb, so sounds to me like he will stand up. I hope so cause I'm voting for him. I'd vote for Mickey Mouse instead of O'B. I think he will also bring back C/Rice for secretary of state and Dana Parino for Press Secretary. That's just a guess.

Obviously, our nation is in urgent need of a business-friendly president. Obama has been a one man wrecking crew against business for nearly four years. I am not convinced Obama nor his advisors embrace capitalism as the best economic model. Obama's policies appear to be rooted in a deep resentment toward business success. Can anyone imagine the depths of economic despair which would result from four more years of Obama's war on success?

Our Founding Fathers understood capitalism and the blessings it would bestow upon an industrious people. The capitalistic model has lifted more people out of poverty than can be counted. Mitt Romney certainly has a profound understanding of business and finance. He will not come into office in a state of utter economic ignorance such as Obama did.

One of our former presidents said, "the business of America is business." This is literally true. Either we return enthusiastically to capitalism or we will be relegated to strife in a socialist Obamaland.

People were worried that Obawa wouldn't pull the trigger, so to speak, if we ever had Bin Laden in the cross hairs.....him being a fellow "Muslim" and all.......

But.....Bin Laden was KILLED during his Presidency.....whether Obawa had anything to do with it or not.

I fully believe Mitt will push the red button if needed if America is placed in a situation that needed the button to be pushed........

And when Mitt runs Obawa out the back door of the Whitehouse......I fear that it may come to this in our future with the mess Obawa will leave Mitt with in regards to how Obawa has wusssified America as a whole to Countries all over the planet.

I wouldn't go so far as to call Obama a Muslim. Truth is, Obama was deeply immersed in Islamic teachings and culture during the formative years of his childhood. Further, it appears Obama has real admiration for Islam and no small amount of sympathy for its adherents.

There can be no doubt Obama came into the presidency with the most exotic background of any man to hold the office. In my view, too exotic. The American electorate took a chance on Mr. Exotica and the results have been stupefying. It would be nice to see the White House occupied by someone more closely aligned with America's best interest at heart. Obama has been a failure of epic proportion.

In some ways I see Romney as the same as the fuher only with less mellenin (lighter skintone) but the choice is simple Obofer has to go before we become a third world country.. And yes I will critisize Romney if he screws up unlike the Republican ditoheads.

Bush was critisized often by a large majority of republicans. Even the so called ditto heads. His spending helped bring rise to the the party.

Thanks for the dialog interesting opinions. i was a member of the Mormon church from age 11 till about 16 then born again christian. I did a little research on my own and it seems the Mormon beliefs about war are much different than i was taught back then. I found this link. Thanks

Yes, he did. I have NO problems with those who truly object to war/fighting etc. None what so ever. It is part of what this Nation is made of. I did/do have problems with those who PRETEND to be 'objectors' and use violence to further their cause or run away like the cowards they proved they are. MEN who have the courage of their convictions stay. Ali did. I did not agree with his stance, BUT, I greatly respect the fact that he did not run away to Canada to smoke dope. He stood his ground. That is the actions of a MAN, not a worm.

It is my belief that Romney would do what the situations dictate when it comes to defense. I would HOPE he would be less likely to cause problems outside of the country but insure we were strong enough, and be willing to use that srength to deter attacks at home. I DON'T believe he has the guts to control the borders.

Neither party has anyone with prior military experience. We have already seen Obama's performance. Will Romney be the same? Hard to tell. Most of it will be answered by who he puts in those key positions. Hopefully, there won't be any more "apology tours".
