Roadside assistance

Hi guys I am wondering who everybody uses for emergency roadside? I drive a 10000 gvw dual wheel cube. I looked into AAA and they said they don't cover my type of vehicle. Also Good Sams says they don't cover vehicles used for business purposes. Anyone have any other suggestions?

When I drove over the road in cargo van I used AAA. I have had 3 tires changed over the 2 years I have had it. AAA has never asked what type of vehicle I was in when I registered for the service or called for help.

From AAA's terms of service:

Vehicle Eligible For Service
Unloaded commercial and rental vehicles with no more than four wheels and a standard pickup bed will be entitled to all services, excluding taxis and limos.

As for alternative suggestions, no, I don't. I have AAA Plus, but I'm in a Sprinter.

I've been towed in Texas twice, one time loaded, one time empty. I've been towed twice in Mississippi, once in Georgia, once in Kentucky, twice in Michigan, all empty. Once in Canada while loaded. They balked once in Texas and once in Georgia upon hearing the word "Freightliner", so I've learned to tell them it's a Dodge Sprinter. When they've still balked, my response is, "It's a cargo van, not a truck. It's been towed several times before and it's never been a problem. Look it up. It's been towed on flatbeds and by tow hooks. If this is suddenly a problem, then I need to speak to a supervisor to find out why." Never been refused a tow.

I've also never offered up that I'm loaded, nor have I ever been asked.

Yes, that's a lot of towing. My Sprinter hates its own belt tensioner.

Allstate has something similiar
I have AAA, been a member for over 20 years
They helped me when I locked the keys in my Hino Straight truck....told the operator I was in a Toyota Pickup:rolleyes:
Towing or tyres would be a different matter

My apologies for not being more clear when I wrote, "Yes, that's a lot of towing. My Sprinter hates its own belt tensioner." So I'll just say that yes, that is, in fact, a lot of towing. All of the tows involved my Sprinter. All of the breakdowns were belt tensioner related. I'll also add that yes, that is, in fact, a lot of belt tensioner problems.

I also have mine on my Progressive policy. Their language reads....tow to the nearest repair facility authorized to do work on your particular vehicle. Three weeks ago had a tow from south of Toledo (81 MILES EACH WAY) to the Sprinter dealer in Troy Ohio for zero dollars. Have used them several times and they are great! I never complain about the $14.00 annual fee. I just call Progressive roadside assistance and they make all the arrangements and call me back with the info. All my trucks are Sprinters and it is stated on the policy.
