Net loss slashed to $9.5 million as shipment counts grow from first quarter

YRC Worldwide reported a $48.3 million operating profit in the second quarter on Tuesday and expanded business with shipping customers as the less-than-truckload carrier showed signs it is turning around its long-foundering operations.

YRC counted a net loss of $9.5 million in the three months ending June 30, a dramatic improvement from the $309 million the company lost a year ago.

YRC’s overall operating revenue fell 8.7 percent from last year’s second quarter, to $1.12 billion, but the trucker also cut $450 million in operating costs.

if you have $1000.00 to put into stock in may be a good move to buy some shares. If the company turns it around and the stock goes up to $10.00 a share it would be worth the risk. You would have taken $1000.00 and got 3225 shares and turned it into $32,258.00
if that was to happen.
