Maybe, I have no idea. I can't say that I ever followed his career. I am not into the tech stuff much anymore. Not since I got out of the "business". I can't say I miss it.

I assume you are posting this on a windows based computer. The Windows idea was originally a copy of Apple's operating system. Microsoft was smarter and allowed various computer makers to use it.
That is one thing I think Apple did wrong, limiting their OS to only their computers.

As of this past July 4th, Apple's valuation (market cap) was more than Microsoft .... and Intel .... combined.

I'm thinkin' that in itself is ..... a bit of genius .... and an indication that the strategies that they chose, overall, accrued to the benefit of both their shareholders ...... and ultimately, their customers/users.
