I suppose if Obama's goal is to institute communism and reduce us under absolute despotism, it could be considered to be cleaning up the GOP messes, the same way a ship captain attempting to wreck the ship on the rocky coast could be said to be making progress as he steers towards them.
What happened in the Black Elk Wilderness Area? How did the feds cause or contribute to it? I am not aware of what goes on out there. Please enlighten me.
Yeah, they tend to stick their noses in people's business. Sometimes well intentioned, sometimes not almost always done wrong either way.
I don't think that many jobs are created and I do know that hunting and fishing brings 3 BILLION into the Michigan economy, much of which goes into small mom and pop businesses. I would think that SD sees an equal influx of funds, unless they have their non-resident licenses priced out of the market.
My cousin goes out to Idaho and hunts public land every year. Just buys his license and goes. He spends his money in that state and they benefit.
I am not saying that this project is good, or if it is, being handled in a legal and proper manner. I no nothing about it.
You lost me on one thing, what makes you "unqualifed" to use public land? You just go. Elite sportsmen seldom use public land. They prefer to pay to have access to private lands. The skills you might need are learned skills, the stamina is earned and the life we chose robs us of the time. The ONLY thing that stops me from using public lands anywhere is time and money.

SS officers in Germany were patriotic when they were cleaning out the Warsaw ghetto.
NKVD officers were patriotic as they were shooting Soviet citizens.
Patriotism is a term thrown around a lot and meaning less.
The tea party seems to have many messages, but the one I like is simply they are tired of the BS and need to change things again.
