Toronto and Ontario led the country in job growth in November as Canada gained a remarkable 79,100 new jobs, pulling the national unemployment rate down one notch to 8.5 per cent, as private businesses finally began to hire again, Statistics Canada said on Friday.
The province gained 27,100 new jobs, but it wasn't enough to offset the Ontario's own high unemployment rate, which remained unchanged at 9.3 per cent.
