Everything I agree with except these two;

18. Appo inted as Attorney General the man who orchestrated the forced removal and expulsion from America to Cuba of a nine-year old whose mother died trying to bring him to a life of freedom in the United States .

The right thing to do was to repatriate the kid with his father, irregardless what the assumption has been made of the intent of his mother.

20. Air Force One flew over New York City for a photo op without notifying local authorities causing widespread panic.

Who really cares?

First it wasn't "Air Force One", that is a designate for any plane carrying the president. The mistake was made from the side of the local officials who knew about it from the FAA three days before the fact and they dropped the ball. New Yorkers need to get a thick skin and scream about their officials first. For the people saying Obama didn't know about it, that plane doesn't move without his or Dapper 'sleep with the fish' Ron's approval - period.

The big problem with the "Air Force One" mess, besides the info NOT being passed on as it should have been done was the COST. We don't NEED a NEW set of pictures. It was even a BIGGER waste than the cost of the First Lady's staff is!! :mad:

If you mean that th info wasn't passed on to the people on the ground, that was the problem with Bloomberg's staff and the NY PD who knew about it. They blamed the feds and the WH but the FAA has been clear that the emails were sent out three days prior, they produced the emails.

I agree with the cost, like the first lady, who deserves nothing of tax payers money outside of limited transportation and secret service protection, the photo op, like many are not a proper use of tax payers money.

I MIGHT be able to see ONE staff member for the First Lady, we do seem to want them to DO STUFF!! Why, I have no idea. A quarter million in staff wages is criminal!!

The first lady is not an elected position, they have no right to have anything outside of protection and limited transportation. So far they have been treated like Detroit Royalty.

It is like this, if we are going to spend money on the family, outside of basic protection and transportation, then they are fair game for the media and critics of the parents. They are now into the realm of being responsible to the tax payers who foot the bill for their perks.

I go back to this idea that the first lady needs a staff at all, the busiest first lady that we ever had was Eleanor Roosevelt who had a small staff and paid for them out of her own pocket. You can put together Hillary, Laura and Michelle and they still could not be as busy as Roosevelt.

Fair game, for example;
In the last week or two there were posters that appeared in the subway stations and other areas that congressional members frequent.

Now the organization that put this poster together is Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and it is to ask why the congress doesn't move to fix a problem.

The white house has demanded that these posters are removed and the children of the president never get mentioned but I don't see their names or pictures in the poster, do you?

I go back to Palin and the cr*p that has been said about her and her kids. Sorry but there is no double standard, there is no reason what so ever that one family is fair game while another is not.

You are right, of course. I think that "First Spouses" should never been seen or heard from. They really have NO business doing ANYTHING. We elect a President, that is IT. I just thought that IF we, as a country, were going to DEMAND that they have a role, then a 1 person staff might be a good idea. This "Silly Side". Talk about pompus. :eek:
What an AMAZING over inflated ego!!
