Well this seems to be missed by a lot of people.

If you deliver in New York, you may owe taxes on the amount of money from your income based on the amount of days you're working within the state.

Oh I can see a mess coming here....

Example: My load is paid by a customer in Texas and I contract to a company in Michigan...and deliver to NY state....the NY state company has no liability towards the shipment. Because the Texas company is paying my wages.
