It's not really practical.
4 x 4 on a Sprinter type van is Overkill ...Just like a custom sleeping area....IMO
If Snow gets that bad that I need a 4 x 4 ....I ' ll park my van...lol
And crawl into that fancy sleeper! Lol

I do agree that 4x4 on a sprinter van is overkill i'll stay where its warm
LOL. as far as the custom sleeper I decided against it as it would add more weight to the van and that means less freight that I can tug around and that I would be sitting more. though it would be nice just to have a wall between me and the cargo and id'e just throw a cot in the back
I think it serves a purpose in the niche markets of construction, oil and mining they are targeting.
This winter I wish my Sprinter was 4x4. I was stuck at home for 1.5 weeks because of snow and ice with the main road half a mile away being clear. Eventually I had to get a friend with a 4x4 to pull me out.
I would still not buy a 4x4. The price of one and the reduced fuel mileage is not worth it for my use once or twice in 10 years.
I bet with a pair of chains I could have gotten out easily. So for next winter I will have a pair available.
