Hey Gummy, I don't know if you know this but EO does have a classified section and a lot of us read it.

Well the sad thing is everyone wants to jump in right now as usual and that means it is an owners market. We have these increases in freight, some are making money and some are still struggling. All the while many make it out like it is a good thing to get into at the same time complaining that rates are not rising fast enough.

Give it time, but don't tie your hopes up on this as a regular income just yet....

Have you thought about getting a truck and not worrying about the owner thing? Enough trucks out there for a very good price.

That's hasn't stopped a lot of people, the price of some of these entry level trucks are just unreal - one in the classifieds $15,000 for a 2001 fl106 is a good start and it has a nice sleeper to boot.

$15,000 is an easy approachable amount, figure another $5000 for the cost to get on the road.

I would give it a little time. Seems to currently be more teams available than owners. May want to call the carriers you are interested in and hook up that way.
Lot of fleet owners tanked this year.

Thx for ur replies,we have been doing expedited for 6 yrs now and have been with the big companies, right now it seems the small ones are running better than the big ones.
We are with a comp now tht is running us but the owner of the comp is something else.We drive a trk for a guy tht has it leased on with this company, the company's owner does not own the trk.
We are having a hard time with this right now and is why we r looking to move.

Ok,where is a good place to go to to buy a trk if u dont have very good credit and not alot of money to put down on 1?
Are there ppl out there that lease w/option to buy? If so where can u find them?

Need all the help we can get!!!
