Are unicorns hard to strap down?

Sent from my Fisher Price ABC-123.
how the heck would I know? I know I do rolls of carpet that pay over $2 not every day but a few times a month. last week I put 2 on one van ran from Saraland, AL to Virgina beach, VA and Williamsville, NY. both went to target stores the VA paid me 1800 and the NY paid 2500 then I deadheaded over to NJ and picked up another 1,000 to come back to KY only did that one cause it got me within a few hours of home. so add it up $5300 in 3 days I am sure your companies make that to they just don't pass it along to you. although I know your company is one of the better ones but I don't run for companies I run for the top 3pls according to inbound logistics. pretty easy really and if I get any of those unicorns I will take some pics for ya.

Mr. Xerexes,
I should add foul language shouldn't be used with any carrier your contracted to.
Even when a Dispatcher intentionally leaves out some important information about the run you have accepted. There's just no class in cursing someone.

ntimevan, I go to orientation at BOLT next Mon-Tues. What is your opinion on driving the str8 vs van. I would appreciate any and all comments.

Like I said ( and others ) owner-operator is best in either choice......in a str-8 with restrictions ( dot ) you will get possible daily short mile loads as solo. .....team = long loads possibilitys.......O-OP in van is best if you can survive Space limitations......NOW driving for an Owner figure 35 % of available revenue......When at office Monday talk to Anne from recruiting she ll tell you the estimated $$$$ numbers....G L

Unicorns aren't hard to haul, but you'll be towing so logs & scales are in order. Use an extra-tall horse trailer to provide room for the horn; otherwise, they're just magical horses. :D

If you ever have seen Long horn cattle or Scottish Highlanders going through a alley. They will lower & turn their head and get a horn between the cross member, then lower & turn for the other horn. I would think a Unicorn would just slip the horn out the open top sides of a stock trailer.;)

Do a search on hung seems like I have read something to do with pay for load not being told before drivers do the load. Not positive so search on here for them.

I'm a bit late to the party but I just started looking for info on being an OTR cargo van driver and this thread had me cackling to myself. You're right; it's extremely entertaining! Paulld is no slouch either. It reminded me of a paraphrase of Groucho Marx saying I wouldn't want to join any country club that would accept me as a member. It sounds like any company that would hire Mr. Xerxes wouldn't have very high standards. I loved that you didn't budge an inch or let him goad you into losing your manners. Well done!

I'm pretty sure that you'll find that tactic a counterproductive one.

Correct. You asked me to stop interacting with you, and I declined.

It's entertaining.

You don't think it's particularly insightful or educational because, despite your advanced education, you have a significant reading comprehension problem. There is a lot of valuable information contained in my posts, if only you could understand it.

Because the forum server software automatically sends you a PM detailing the Code of Conduct Violation when you receive a Warning Infraction, that's why. Look for another one just like it real soon.

I never said I don't like you. I don't know you well enough to like or dislike you either way. For all I know you're a fine upstanding likable guy who simply has fingers with anger management issues.

As a Moderator on this forum, it's my job to be a petty persistent *** that you'll never be able to get away from. It's one of the perks.
