Well not true, seeing you never listened to his show or read his books. By the very nature of his profession, being a comedian and all that, I would say between the two Franken is the one who is the buffoon. Seeing you brought up his 'degree' in political science, he even looks more like an idiot because of his position and some of his statements on his radio show and beyond. It seems to me that I remember his poorly done (and quiet) rant on how Bush was the only one who is responsible for our war in Iraq. He kinda of left out the fact that congress voted to go to war and the president can't just up and decide one morning to invade a country. He also left out some facts that the country's policy to remove Saddam that came from Clinton and that the UN actually did back the invasion until we got close to the food for oil scams. That's all great for someone who graduated top of their class, right?

Buffoon fits your hero rather well, he is just that - an idiot buffoon.

Bush did NOT bankrupt anything, the President cannot do that. The CONGRESS can. Look closely at the numbers during that last 4 years that Bush was in. Who was IN control of the purse strings when the crash occured?

Yeah, that lousy GOP. That's why Gore's house is 24,000 square feet and uses as much energy as two dozen normal homes and Bush's house is 4,000 square feet and uses no energy it doesn't produce on premises. That's why the majority of millionaires in the House and Senate are Democrats.

Oh, and Franken is a moron, if not a buffoon. His vitriole and absolute lies in his radio programs and the completely biased nature of all of his writings, whether for SNL or otherwise, prove his lack of character and knowledge on the subject matter he spews.

Doug, if you manage to say you believe Franken should be voted out next election then you are making progress. Otherwise you have nothing in common with Joe and this whole exercise is one of baiting. Could it possibly be.... hmmmm... makes one think.
